Luke 24:45

—This is the third passage that shows how to “interpret” the Bible. The first one dealt with Joseph as a type of Christ (see comments under Gen. 39–40); the second dealt with Daniel as a type of Christ (Dan. 6) in Daniel chapter 2; and the third one, here, dealt with Christ Himself. Paul elaborates on this in 1 Corinthians chapters 2–3. Not once in the Scripture is the ability to interpret Scripture properly ever dependent on a knowledge of Hebrew, or Greek vocabulary, or grammar: not once.
